Malakai is fostered in Cascadia, OR. We are about one hour from Corvallis, Eugene, Sisters, Salem. About 2 from Portland and Newport. If you are driving from afar, we will meet you part way.
Malakai is neutered, vaccinated, micro-chipped, de-wormed and on flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. Malakai's adoption fee is $400
We seek a younger, active,, gentle, warm-hearted, dog savvy home for Malakai.
Malakai will do well with a lively household and life. That may look like active folks, kids, another playful dog that is not too large for him, folks who take him with them out and about and on adventures.
Malakai is a puppy and so will still jump up, kiss you on the face, and is a wriggly sweetheart.
We seek a home in which Malakai's can remain for his whole life, with his adopter. Given his likely long lifespan, we seek folks 65 or younger. We are seeing many dogs given away by family members after a loved one is no longer able to care. Those dogs often do not fare well getting a new home.
A great home and must haves for Malakai include:
1. An owned home with a securely fenced yard or acreage.
2. Folks who have soft hearts for rescue dogs and are dog savvy.
3. Active adopters not gone long hours who will walk Malakai every day and will include him in their fun activities.
4. Malakai could easily live into his teens, and we want him to spend the rest of his life in one home. So, younger folks or young retired folks (mid 60s, tops). We will not place Malakai in a home where he may outlive his owners ability to care for him due to age.
