I’m Lucy, a 5-year-old Hound mix from Louisiana. I’m the perfect size at 45 pounds, and I am as sweet as can be! I’m quiet and gentle, and I like to be near my humans. I’m crate trained, housetrained, and good with other dogs, but prefer to be the only dog in the home. I’m not highly energetic, so I could go to a retired person or a less active family. With my temperament, I might make a good therapy dog! I was treated for heartworm down South but am testing negative and am ready to find my forever family. I'm smart. At the shelter I learned how to let myself in and out. I just liked to hang outside for a bit, then would go back into my kennel and lie down.
