My story

Their adoption process

We have a very efficient adoption process where our adopters can get in contact with us with any questions throughout their process as well as after they adopt from us.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
We are a pre-adoption based rescue. Most of our adopters will submit an application prior to meeting the dog.
  2. Interview
One of our directors will do a phone based interview with the adopter to make sure the dog is a good fit. As well as check references.
  3. Home Check
We have a home check done by one of our directors done via facetime.
  4. Approve Application
After references are checked, we have another conversation with the adopter to approve them and answer any other questions.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
Meet and greet for our pre adoptions are done.
Adoptions are done and contracts signed.
  6. Pay Fee
The fee is paid after the contract is discussed and sign,
  7. Take the Pet Home
Adopters leave with the new family member!

More about this rescue

Everyday Heroes Dog Rescue Inc. is a non-profit animal welfare/ rescue group in New Jersey, with 501©3 status. We are a group of women who are mothers, sisters and friends, all who are connected to the fire, EMS, medical and police fields in one way or another. Collectively, we wish to be these puppy/ dogs’ village! Helping puppies and dogs that find themselves displaced, surrendered, or stays, by no fault of their own, young or old, healthy or ill, in need of medical attention, one dog at a time. We are an all-breed pre-adoption rescue.
By helping our kill shelters in the south, we will also help drop the number of puppies and dogs who would be euthanized. We hope to help with this by finding loving permanent homes in the North. At this time, we do not have a physical building, so we depend on our greatest commodity. Foster Homes! We are in desperate need of building our foster home base to help reduce the rates of euthanasia in the southern states. Please reach out to us if you are interested in becoming a foster home!
