My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Scooter is a precious, spunky guy that still adjusting to life inside a home, with love. Potty training in progress. He's already mastered the crate and leash training. He can live in an apartment, but will need plenty of outings for exercise. He's equal parts scooter and snuggler.

He's fully vetted and ready for his forever home! Foster to adopt is a great way to have a trial period in your home.

Here's his back story (as much as we know):
Meet Scooter: The 3-Legged Wonder Pup Who Never Slowed Down 🐾💛
When we first met Scooter, he was just a tiny, scrappy 5-pound pup darting through the streets of Tyler, Texas. Just barely a year old, he’d clearly been fending for himself for some time — skinny, scared, and with one back leg held up awkwardly as he tried to move around on three.
The old injury to his leg had healed wrong. It was clear he hadn't used it in a long time — and likely had been in pain far longer than anyone should. But despite everything, this little guy never stopped trying. He had the spark of something special. And he scooted.
Scooter was the perfect name.
We got him to a vet as fast as we could. After X-rays and evaluations, it was clear his damaged leg couldn’t be saved. He also needed to be neutered and brought up to date on vaccinations. The amputation surgery, neuter, and follow-up care ended up costing almost $1,000 — a big hit for a small rescue, but one we couldn’t say no to. Because Scooter? He deserved that chance.
And now? He’s thriving. 🐶💨
Soon Scooter will zoom through the yard, chase butterflies, and jump into laps like he owns the world (and honestly, he might). His eyes shine brighter every day, and that little tail wags so hard you'd think he was twice his size. The streets are far behind him now — and he’s never looking back.
We’re asking for your help to cover Scooter’s vet bill, so we can keep saving more dogs just like him. Every dollar helps, and every share spreads his story further. Scooter may only have three legs, but he's taught us all what it means to run full-speed toward hope. ❤️
