Kenny's Birthday: May 5, 2018
Penny's Birthday: May 5, 2020
Kenny and Penny are about as close to a romance that you can find between two fixed cats. They cuddle, play, wrestle (politely), and also love to welcome their human friends into the fun. Their tiny size and playful natures make them often seem like “forever kittens,” but with the manners of mature cats.
Got a wand toy? Watch them run and jump gleefully then drag their catch away proudly.
Want to snuggle? Kenny loves to be picked up and have his neck scratched, then he makes biscuits on your arm in the cutest way possible. Penny loves a neck rub and laying next to you, and may even play with your hair.
Got wet food? Kenny is obsessed! He goes into his own space during wet food time so that Penny has a chance to eat her own serving.
Since their owner died, Kenny and Penny are looking for a new family who would welcome an easy-going, well-mannered duo. They do well with other cats who don’t mind that they can be a little extra “in your face” (especially Kenny, who doesn’t take a hint very well). As they have both tested positive for feline leukemia virus (FeLV), they should be your only cats or live with other FeLV+ cats. We have not told Kenny and Penny about their condition, and they don’t seem to notice it except for some residual eye and nose drainage from a previous respiratory infection. Like many cats with FeLV, they have suppressed immune systems and seem to have trouble getting rid of the last of their “kitty cold.” Cats with FeLV can live happy, meaningful lives. They are immune compromised, so they must stay indoors, eat quality food, and see the vet regularly.
Kenny and Penny’s combined adoption donation is $75 and includes age-appropriate vaccines, dewormer, flea treatment, Felv/FIV testing, microchip, and spay/neuter. They must be adopted together.
If you would like more information on Kenny and Penny, please contact Mary at lovingcarecatrescue@gmail.com. If you would like to fill out an online application, please visit https://lovingcarecatrescue.
Please note: LCCR does not allow our adopted cats and kittens to be declawed. All adopted kitties are to be kept as indoor-only pets.
