🐾 PROJECT KITTEN ALERT: Meet Xan – The Beautiful, Bashful Magpie!
📍 Location: Lexington, SC
Name: Xan
Age: ~6.5 months (DOB: ~3/29/25)
Breed: DSH – Magpie (black & white beauty!)
Spayed/Neutered/Shots: Spayed, 3 rounds of FVRCP, rabies, microchipped, UTD on flea prevention & dewormed ✅
Good with dogs, cats, and/or kids:
Yes — once she’s had time to settle and feels safe!
Aggression or medical issues?:
None. She’s healthy, just extremely shy with new people.
Additional info/story (personality):
Xan is what we call a “project kitten” — she’s come a long way from her feral beginnings but still struggles with trust when meeting new people. She will not allow handling during a meet and greet or right after adoption.
However, once she adjusts and feels secure, she’s an entirely different cat — affectionate, playful, and gentle. She loves soft pets, tasty wet food, and curling up near her trusted humans and feline friends.
She’s not aggressive — just scared at first — and needs a patient adopter willing to give her time and space to bloom. For the right person, she’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion. 💕
📩 Message/comment if interested.
Please include her name (“Xan”) since I’m helping rehome several animals.
📋 Adoption application & contract required to ensure a loving, safe, and stable home.
🐾 Let’s find this shy sweetheart a forever home that understands patience pays off. 🖤

Meet and greets for cats are near impossible normally because we all foster/house both cats and dogs and the dogs "go off" when visitors come over making all the cats hide.

More about this rescue
In service of domestic animals in South Carolina, Frisky Business Rescue is a no-kill rescue that provides vital resources such as veterinary care, birthing assistance, medication, and rehoming or safe release (TNR) to the most vulnerable animals in the region. We specialize in animals with special circumstances that come from various backgrounds, including animal hoarding and abusive situations but primarily focus on vulnerable kittens, puppies, and pregnant/nursing dogs and cats. Before rehoming, we carefully screen new potential families to ensure the needs of our animals are met and that new homes will become furever homes.
