Welcome Nutz to CCPAL Rescue. Nutz is a 3-year-old Chug (Chihuahua/Pug). He weighs about 12 pounds and is full grown and a nice weight. This dog came from the hoarder or overabundance of dog situation. He is a quieter dog and likes to be held. He is definitely a lap companion. He is playful with other dogs and has the sturdy body of the Pug. He would love to be a companion for a person that is retired, partially retired or maybe someone with a household that is more quiet and wants a dog with a lower energy to join in. He would be ok with a smaller condo size yard. He is learning leash manners and getting used to commotion of the Rescue. He hasn’t experienced a lot of different things so he isn’t sure yet but he is really really nice. He is not a big shedding dog. He is fine with nail trims and baths and will make some lucky family a great companion. I would say anyone moderately active would be fine for this dog. He bonds deeply and he warms up with affection nicely. He would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. He is getting vaccinations, neutered and he will be ready for his forever home soon. He is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is $200. We are in Pipe Creek, Texas on an acreage. We will be using a transporter to deliver the dogs to New Jersey once they are adopted. We can let you speak to our Kennel Manager, Troy, who works with the dogs everyday. We also will provide the most current pictures and videos to help in your decision. Only the very best dogs will be transported.

C.C.P.A.L. seeks to reduce the enormous problem of pet overpopulation in Bandera County We promote low-cost spay/neuter programs; advise on basic health care & proper shelter for pets & offer excellent dog obedience classes several times each year. Since 2002, CCPAL has rescued nearly 5,000 animals. We are in constant need of foster homes for these pets until we find them homes. Our pets are in kennels on an acreage in Texas. We can use a transporter to get them outside of Texas if we find a great home.
