Meet Comet! He is a male Chihuahua mix born December 4, 2024. He must have a larger breed in his mix - at 5 months he weighs about 18-20 pounds so will likely be small to medium sized full grown. He’s typical puppy – he’s learning the ropes in his foster home to be the best dog he can be! He is crate trained at night and uses the doggy door to go potty in his foster home. According to his foster mom, he’s very treat motivated and loves kids and other dogs. His ideal home would be one with a securely fenced yard, and if there are kids in the home, over the age of 5. We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.
Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.
