Luna Nicole is a 1½-year-old, 8-pound Shih Tzu-Terrier mix with a tender heart and a delicate soul. She came to Camo Rescue as an owner surrender alongside her brother, Mozzie—and the two are a bonded pair who must be adopted together.
Very timid, dainty girl with a major personality once she gets to know you. Believe it or not, she’s the boss of Mozzie and a little bit stubborn.
Luna is very good on a leash and loves walking, but when she doesn’t want to anymore, she stops in her tracks and shutdown if you pull her. Luna loves laying in the sun but then retreat to the cooler inside once she’s had enough. She is NOT an outside dog. The Terrier in her is always sniffing and looking for something that moves and very confident in that. She is a little concerned of weather and machines.
Luna’s potty training needs more work, as well as responding to her name. She has a lot more energy than Mozzie and will tell you if she wants to play or needs to go outside(high pitch bark), once she gets to know you. Luna wants to play a lot more than Mozzie.
She instantly picks up on your tone of voice and gets nervous when you’re angry or use a load tone. Gentle please!!! Luna loves to be the centre of attention and will lay on your lap/couch most of the day if you let her, in between her playtime. She is still young and needs space and time for all the zoomies and bitey-face with Mozzie.
Her favorite time of day is getting her Woof toy filled with a treat, bitey-face with Mozzie and laying on your lap while watching tv. She will lay next to your desk for hours while you work.
Working from home family with older kids(no small kids) might be good for Luna&Mozzie as they both are still very young, they might benefit from an older wiser dog to show them the ropes.
Adoption fee is: $375
ALL adoptions require a completed application, vet check, home check and final contract. The application to adopt can be found at www.camorescue.com.
Adoption fees are variable. Up to date vaccines, microchip, spay/neuter are included in the fee.
Once your application has been approved, we will put you in touch with a CAMO representative to set up a meet and greet. We select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dog's needs. For the safety of our small breed dogs and based on our past experiences, we will not place our dogs in homes with large breed dogs.

More about this rescue
CAMO Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that offers life, health, and a forever home. We specialize in dogs that other rescues can’t or won’t take due to fearful nature or medical needs. We primarily rescue ‘euthanasia listed’ animals that are in immediate danger of death. We provide shots, spay/neuter, microchip, foster homes, food, medical treatment and love to dogs that are abandoned, unwanted or otherwise in need. We never euthanize an animal to make room for another. In addition to caring for our dogs and finding the best possible home for them, we provide education to the community; encouraging and promoting responsible pet ownership. If needed, our rescue dogs are retrained to socialize in an adoptive loving family. We have had phenomenal success, and amazing support from our community. We believe that animals, as living creatures are entitled to a quality life, respect and compassion. Since humans have domesticated animals, we have a moral and ethical responsibility to care for them. We are partnered with many Shelters to help them reach the same goal.
