My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ms. Dooley is looking for a loving furever home! She is around 3 years old and 48 lbs (she is skinny right now, but we are working to add some healthy weight).

Her ideal human(s) would work from home or be stay at home dog parent so she can receive pets throughout the day, but she is also open to other homebody applicants ?? Dooley is the perfect Netflix and Nap buddy! She is a major couch potato/ bed bug and would love to continue that trend in her furever home.

Aside from being a cozy queen, Dooley enjoys going for long walks, lick mats, and toys. She is easygoing and has a sweet demeanor (she likes giving kisses). She can be vocal and sassy as well though.

Another plus? Dooley is potty trained! She also already knows “Sit” and we are working to see if she can add any other commands to her repertoire. She will play fetch as well when she is in the mood to!

She is friendly around other dogs though she prefers dogs who give her space. We haven’t seen her interact around inside cats or children yet. She is highly interested in trying to chase outside cats on walks, so I’m not sure she would do well in a home with cats.

We are still working on creating positive experiences with crate training, but we think it will be a smoother transition once she has a consistent routine in a permanent home.

Above all else Dooley is looking for someone with a lot of love to give and a comfy bed to call hers! She definitely deserves it ??

Dooley is currently in foster care outside of the shelter. If you are interested in learning more or meeting Dooley, please complete an adoption survey using the link below (copy and paste link):
