Misha came into our lives in January 2022 when we adopted her from a shelter at just 3 months old. In the three years since, she has completely captured our hearts. Misha is a shy and gentle cat who takes time to warm up, but once she feels safe and loved, she becomes the most affectionate companion. She loves to snuggle, curl up beside you in bed, and quietly keep you company.
Misha was especially close to my mom, who was her primary caregiver. Sadly, my mom suffered a sudden cardiac arrest earlier this year that resulted in a severe anoxic brain injury. As our family adjusts to this heartbreaking and ongoing medical situation, we’ve had to make the incredibly difficult decision to rehome Misha.
We want nothing more than to find her a home that will offer her the same patience, love, and warmth she gave us. She would do best in a quiet and calm environment where she can slowly come out of her shell and build trust at her own pace. Once she does, you’ll see just how special she is.
