My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adopted from SPCA in 2022 as a newborn puppy. Ben is sweet, smart and playful couch potato. DNA test showed primarily Chihuahua, but boy was that wrong! He grew from 5 lbs to 55lbs quickly! He was a wonderful puppy with a little anxiety. He learned quickly to play with other dogs and enjoyed time with our kids, but remained skeptical of others. Ben trained well and proved to be very smart and playful with the whole household.

We moved from the suburbs to the city and Ben’s anxiety in the new location is showing up regularly. He is protective of us and reactive to others until he can greet under control. With two very active young kids in a new neighborhood, we have too much going on to allow him to get the attention he needs to calm down in this urban environment. Would love to find him a home in a calmer environment so that Ben can thrive again.
