My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sweet Sadie has it all -- silly, smart and stuck on her people! She keeps you constantly entertained with her goofiness -- wriggling around on the floor making little grunting noises, brightening your work breaks with licks and wags, always ready for a quick tug-of-war, curling up next to you with you as her pillow. In between she lies happily on her dog bed chewing on bones and toys or napping quietly. And she loves playing with her dog buddy and cats! Curious, smart, eager to please and food-motivated, she's very focused on doing what her person wants, because she loves them!

She's the only dog her foster has had who recognizes her toys by name and will go find them on command. Naturally curious, she will explore but never gets into something she shouldn't. She loves meeting new humans for more playtime, treats, cuddles and pets.

Good on a leash, one of her favorite activities is sniffing around the neighborhood with you, catching up the latest news. She'd love to be your adventure companion. As a hound, she does want to follow her nose sometimes, but she responds to correction. She knows commands including sit, down, shake, come, leave it, and give, and she learns fast. She goes easily into her crate (sometimes taking the opportunity for a belly rub on the way!) and sleeps through the night. A foster favorite, Sadie was tearfully surrendered by a previous owner who adopted her as a puppy and then couldn't keep her.

Sadie's ideal home includes a doggy pal to play with, experienced dog parents who can read her energy (and like being licked!), and a fenced yard to run around in. If what your life needs is a beautiful, smart, loving, affectionate, playful pup with just the right amount of energy, joy and snuggles, Sadies your girl!
