My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Pamaj was brought in by his previous owner on June 24, 2025.

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Pamaj! Pamaj is in search of a loving home with quiet rooms, soft spots to land and snacks that appear like clockwork. He's traded the thrill of the occasional outdoor adventure for a slower pace and is still getting used to this whole "stay-in and relax" lifestyle. New places and new people can throw him off, so give him some space and time and let him come to you when he's ready. When he does, you'll find he's got a soft spot for gentle head pets! Pamaj is food motivated and has been known to appear out of nowhere the second a treat bag makes a sound. He might enjoy safe, supervised outdoor time now and then - a sunbeam, a patch of grass, a little breeze - nothing too wild, just enough to stretch his legs and check the perimeter. Pamaj does have some expectations when it comes to litter boxes: having multiple clean options is non-negotiable. He'd do best in a calm, lower-traffic home without the hustle and bustle of young children or rambunctious pets. No chaos, no surprises - just a well-run operation with good snacks and quiet corners. Pamaj is ready for his next adventure - come meet him today!

At SDHS:
Pamaj has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. He is now ready for his new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
