This helps NYC Second Chance Rescue with pet care costs.
Tina is one of the 80 dogs rescued from the heartbreaking NY dog hoarding case. After living in such difficult conditions, she’s learning, slowly but surely, that the world can be a safe and loving place.
In her foster home, Tina is beginning to venture out of her hiding spot for longer stretches, curiously sniffing her foster while still keeping a gentle distance. She’s also started interacting more with the other dogs, and now even joins them in the backyard: something she never would have done before.
Tina will need a patient, understanding adopter who can celebrate the small victories and let her blossom at her own pace. She would thrive in a calm home, ideally with another friendly dog to show her the ropes. With time, love, and consistency, Tina’s brave heart will continue to open.
If you believe in second chances and have the patience to help Tina write her next chapter, she’s ready to start that journey with you.
All dogs will be altered, microchipped, and receive age-appropriate vaccines prior to adoption. Please note that the listed location for this dog may not be accurate due to technical limitations of this database and we have transportation options available within 6 hours of NYC (so don't let location hold you back)!
