Hey folks! My name is Rita and I'm looking to end my couch surfing to find my permanent home! Not much is known about my past, but my foster mom thinks I lived in a house 'cause I know my way around. I am about 5 years old. I settled right in with no accidents, sleep well in a kennel, and love my fluffy dog beds with blankets. When I came in, I was a little hefty (hey, this girl likes her food!), but I have trimmed down some. Foster mom thinks that I am big-boned, so there may not be much more I have to lose. I do really love people food - and will let you know when I think I deserve a taste of what you have. Generally, I am a pretty easy going girl. I really love my naps, and sometimes I think I should be a lap dog! Who wouldn't want to snuggle with my super cute face??
I do well with my foster sister (and the various dogs who pass through my foster home), but sometimes I can get overwhelmed. I think a quiet home, with a low-key sibling is the best fit for me. I do NOT enjoy long walks - but sometimes want to go on a super short one My legs are short, so a half block is like a mile for me! Spunky spurts do hit, but they are usually centered around food and meal times. Do you have a permanent couch for me to land?

IEBR was formed in 2009 to find homes for purebred English Bulldogs. IEBR rescues dogs from shelters and puppymills and accepts dogs from owners who for any reason can no longer provide a home for their bully.
The bulldogs that come through our rescue program are seldom in “perfect” condition in terms of health, temperament or both; however with a little love, medical attention and time, rescued English Bulldogs dogs make great companions.
IEBR does not find dogs for people – our mission is to find great people for wonderful dogs.
