My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the adoption application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

This goofy tabby with a quirky crooked smile (and no need to see an orthodontist) is Twizzler!  Twizzler and his goofy friendly nature originally didn't work well for him.  He was trying to get into a house with multiple dogs and the neighbor kids were being mean so a neighbor trapped him to get him out of the neighborhood but when he came into the shelter we could hear him purring and see him makin biscuits in the trap. We asked if he wanted to stay with us and he let out a craggly meow! We took that as a yes and he's now with us and looking for his forever home that can provide him with a safe environment to be his silly self!  Twizzler is a no boundaries, all up in your business, givin head butts and possibly happy drooling on you kinda guy.  If you can accept his loving qualities and his equally quirky tooth-free girlfriend, then he would be happy to give you all the unconditional love you can handle. Vera made fast friends and bonded with Twizzler. The  bonded  pair are very sweet together, often curled together in a cat bed. As  mature cats who spend most of their time joined at the hip, this low- maintenance bundle would provide you with love  and smiles for many years to come.  Twizzler was likely born mid 2023 and he is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped.  As always, our adoption fee for cats/kittens is free will to approved applicants.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
