My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Blitzen is a happy, goofy, energetic puppy! He is currently about 12 lbs and about 10 months old.

He loves to play with toys of all kinds and will often bring them back to you to tug and fetch. He enjoys a good wrestle, tumble, and chase with his foster siblings and would do best with another dog who can match his rambunctious antics. When Blitzen is tuckered out, his favorite spot to sleep is by your feet, or on them if he can!

Blitzen gets nervous when meeting new people or dogs and can become very vocal. He will need someone patient to work with him on this. He may take a little time to warm up, but once he is comfortable with you he will be your very best buddy, following you everywhere with adoring eyes. Watch out though - one of his favorite things is to surprise people with a leap into their lap to give them lots of wiggly puppy affection. He is happiest when his person is home most of the time.

Blitzen gets excited to go for walks but will need some practice to learn leash skills.

He gets carsick easily, so car rides are not his favorite.

He is housebroken in his foster home, though new places take a little time for him to become consistent.

He knows to sit for treats and takes them from you so gently.

He sleeps well in a crate at night but will happily snuggle on the bed if you'd prefer.

Mostly Blitzen just wants to find his forever person so he can give them a lifetime of love!

Please note that Blitzen will need a **small, young, friendly dog already living in the forever home chosen for him. He needs someone home most of the time**. Children in the home need to be at least 10 years old. **There are no exceptions to these requirements**. These requirements help ensure that Blitzen adjusts well and thrives in his new environment.
