My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gigi!

A spirited one-year-old German Shepherd mix currently living in San Dimas, CA, whose essence is a radiant whirl of playful energy wrapped in a striking red and black coat.

Gigi is a vibrant young girl with an affectionate heart and a mind eager to learn! She thrives on routine, adventure, and companionship. Every morning at 6:30 AM, she’s ready for breakfast before embarking on her favorite ritual – a refreshing walk in the park where she sniffs every flower, greets the morning sun, and showcases her elegant shepherd trot. Later in the day, she loves playing ball with the same enthusiasm as if discovering the game for the first time, her tail wagging like a metronome of pure joy!

She currently weighs 50 pounds and will become a large, strong beauty. Gigi has been working on her obedience training and already knows commands like sit, wait, and leave it. With her high intelligence and desire to please, her new family will find that she thrives on positive reinforcement and consistent guidance to build her confidence around new people and dogs.

This affectionate pup is still working on crate training and managing her separation anxiety, so she needs a family who can offer structure, patience, and lots of love to help her feel secure when left alone. Because she bonds so closely with her person, her loyalty and protective instincts shine through in the sweetest ways – from leaning her body into yours for cuddles to watching over you with gentle eyes.

Gigi is currently attending doggy day camp and continues to learn new skills and is socializing with other pups. She has had some successful playdates with other dogs, although she can be shy at first, and she hasn’t been around cats to know how she might respond. She’s never been around children, but her guardian believes she could do well with older kids who can handle her exuberant energy.

Gigi is spayed, house-trained, microchipped, and up to date on all vaccinations. She needs a new loving home with a securely fenced yard and an active family ready for her joyful energy, intelligence, and silly affectionate quirks.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our ultimate goal is to unite as many animals with loving pet parents as possible, so we strive to make it easy to adopt a dog or cat you have fallen in love with. All we ask is that you fill out an adoption application so that we have all the information we need to determine that you'll be able to provide a safe and compassionate home to one of our rescued pets. Once approved, all you need to do is sign our adoption agreement form and provide an adoption donation so that we can continue to save more animals every day and unite them with families just like yours.
