My name is Lexy!

Lexy is a 2-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer/Hound mix with the best of both worlds—playful energy and a heart full of love. Weighing around 40 lbs, she’s the perfect size for hiking trails or curling up on the couch for stormy weather cuddles.

This sweetheart came to us from our local county shelter, where she had been waiting patiently since May. Now, she’s settling into rescue life and showing us just how special she is.

Will be fully vaccinated soon (Distemper, Lepto, Bordetella, Rabies) and heartworm tested

Lexy is a total lover—she’ll start off with playful energy but quickly melts into a cuddle bug, especially during thunderstorms. She gets nervous during storms and seeks comfort and closeness. If you’re someone who doesn’t mind a furry friend glued to your side during bad weather, Lexy is your girl.

She does well with other dogs and seems indifferent to our farm animals. We can cat test upon request.

Heads up: Lexy has some impressive climbing skills and may try to scale wire fencing if left unattended in a new environment. We recommend supervised yard time until she’s fully settled and bonded with her family.

Once submitted, our team will review your application. If approved, you’ll be contacted to schedule a meet-and-greet (including any necessary dog-to-dog intros). If it’s a good fit, we’ll schedule a home visit and finalize the adoption.
