Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Lady is being fostered in TX.
HI!
I am delighted that you are interested in knowing more about me!
I am about 3 months old*.
My absolute passions are EAT, MOVE and Cuddle! In fact, among my many super pawers is my super sense of smell, so I became highly excited when smelling delicious foods around me! My foster mamma and I are working hard to learn how to harness this super power! My second super power is my high level of energy and my strong curiosity, I guess that makes three super powers, isn’ it? If you don’t give me a job to do, I will find it on my own! So it is very important for me that you become my guiding light.
Yet, I also want you to be soft and cuddle with me in quiet times, since I actively look for bonding, reassurance, and safety. I am good with kiddos, but I will prefer kiddos 6+ since I - for now - get excited and might scratch them by accident. Also, I highly benefit from tolerant and playful siblings who can help me balance when the puppyhood zoomies come!
Did I tell you that I am already potty trained? YUP!!! I am proudly potty trained.
Regarding my eyes, I have Microphthalmia which “is a congenital condition where one or both eyeballs are abnormally small” on my right eye. My foster momma is seeing a little cloudiness on my left eye*, so I am going to visit an eye specialist in mid August. However, I have not presented any issue navigating the house, jumping the stairs, or avoiding any obstacles in the backyard. I am sure my foster momma will update any relevant info after our appointment.
Are you ready to love me?

Interested in adopting a BDRA dog? Simply fill out our application.
All of our adult dogs are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive. All puppies are up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and on heartworm and flea/tick preventive.
We ask a $400 adoption fee. This does not begin to cover the vet work we do on our dogs, which is why we are always fundraising! For unaltered dogs (such as puppies too young to be spayed/neutered prior to adoption), we now require an additional $100 spay/neuter deposit that is refundable upon BDRA receiving proof of spay/neuter and rabies vaccination.

Can I meet the dog before I submit an application?
All of our dogs are cared for in private foster homes. We cannot make arrangements for private meet and greets until an application is received and references have been checked. That being said, many of our dogs are at local public events where you can certainly go to meet them.
Will you transport the dog to me? What if I live in Canada?
Generally yes, as long as you do not live more than 18 hours from a dog’s foster home. If you are unsure, please email adoption@blinddogrescue.org.
