A little about moose.
Very friendly, loves fetch, good manners most of the time, loves kids, loves other dogs, good off leash, likes to be outside to play, knows all basic commands. No cats in new home. He does pee in new areas outside to mark. Does well with elderly family members. Does well in family/friends homes. He can pull on leash without harness.
Why are we rehoming?
Doesn’t get along with our elderly cat. Prey drive behaviors started when we moved 3 years ago. He has hurt/killed 2 stray cats in our backyard. With my toddlers opening and closing the door all day I can’t control when he comes in so I can’t keep the cat away. It’s been causing me a lot of stress the past year. I’ve tried special door locks, dogs gates, anxiety medication from our vet office. I’ve called many dog trainers this year and all but 2 said it would he nearly impossible to train him to stop it and I wouldn’t ever be able to keep him home alone with the cat in the house.
