Meet Wooju — A Tiny Soul with a Huge Heart

From a heartbreaking past to a hopeful future — Wooju is ready to find the forever family he’s always deserved.

This little 7.3 lb Maltese was born into hardship. In a small town in Korea, he spent his early years as a breeding dog at a pet shop, and once he was no longer “useful,” he was passed on to a dog grooming school, where he was used for grooming practice and endured repeated abuse.
Thankfully, a compassionate student reported his condition, and Wooju was rescued by a local animal welfare group. After receiving care and recovering from his past, he made his way to the U.S. and is now being fostered in a loving home in New Jersey.

Despite everything he’s been through, Wooju is incredibly sweet, bright, and affectionate. He loves all people and never hesitates to show his adorable side.
He gets along well with other dogs, has no known issues with kids, and is fully pee pad trained while also doing well with outdoor potty breaks.

He hasn’t met cats yet, but his gentle nature suggests he may adjust well with proper introduction.

Wooju may be small in size, but his capacity for love is enormous. After years of being used and neglected, he’s finally ready to be loved — not for what he can provide, but for who he is.
