Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This 4-month-old mixed breed girl is social, spunky, and ready to steal your heart—and maybe your snacks (she is very food motivated, after all!). Thelma is outgoing and full of love, greeting everyone she meets with happy tail wags and a playful spark.
✅ Cat-approved and kid-friendly
✅ Loves other dogs and playtime
✅ Crate trained and sleeps through the night
✅ Housebroken with a consistent routine
✅ Eager to learn and easy to train
✅ Food motivated and loves to please
Whether she’s making the rounds with her dog friends, chasing toys, or cozying up with her foster humans, Thelma brings joy wherever she goes. She’s confident, curious, and ready to take on the world—or at least your backyard.
Thelma would thrive in a home that’s ready to continue her training, give her space to play, and let her be part of the family fun. She’d love a dog sibling but would do just fine solo too, especially if you can keep the belly rubs and adventures coming.
This little lady has big love to give—don’t miss your chance to say yes to Thelma!
FEE INCLUDES: Adopting an adult dog (6 months or older) includes spaying/neutering, vaccinations, deworming, flea & tick prevention, heartworm testing, and microchipping.
For dogs under 6 months, they receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming, flea/tick prevention, and microchipping. All dogs are spayed/neutered by 6 months, covered within the adoption fee. The procedure must be done at one of our partner clinics.
To begin the adoption process, please submit an application on our website: www.hbwi.org/adopt. Once approved, you'll have the opportunity to meet our available dogs. Following the meeting, you can initiate a 5-day Adoption Trial, allowing you to take the dog home. This trial period is designed to ensure the dog is a match for you and aligns with your lifestyle. After the 5-day trial, if all goes well, the adoption will be finalized. Additionally, we require a home visit once the dog is settled in its new home to ensure a smooth transition for both the dog and the adopter.
