My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

DOB: Oct. 24, 2019

Catriona is a true survivor who has overcome a rough start to her rescue journey. This sweet girl was discovered abandoned in a park, wrapped inside a duffel bag with little chance to survive, but her resilience carried her through and she has been thriving in foster care. With her affectionate personality, you would never guess she had such a challenging beginning. She loves being near her human and gazing at them with her gorgeous green eyes, or rolling onto her back for a gentle belly rub. When she's feeling really comfortable she'll turn on the purrs and start kneading.

This gorgeous girl is a great mix of playful energy and calm independence. When not having her afternoon nap, Catriona loves playtime and has an extra adorable quirk of carrying her toys around. She especially loves carrying plastic springs and batting them around to chase and hunt. She also loves rolling around in her cat tunnel or leaping after a wand. Once she catches her wand, she keeps it in her mouth to carry, often back to her tunnel for a bit of extra playtime. Just keep an eye on soft hangy bits like feathers, she loves to chew! Catriona also loves to watch tv, especially if there are birds on it, she'll watch very intently and paw at the screen.

Catriona absolutely loves meal time and happily uses both a puzzle feeder and lick mat to pace herself. She's not spent much time around other cats and is likely best as a solo kitty in her home to lavish up all the attention and playtime from her human.

Through all her challenges, Catriona has handled them with a sweet and affectionate personality that is sure to be an incredible addition to your home. Will you be the one to give Catriona the safe, patient and stable loving home she deserves?

Catriona is a gem and well worth the effort! She had a previous procedure for a stricture (narrowing) in her colon, and will require a patient family to make sure she isn't showing signs of constipation. She’ll also do best in a home with space for two litter boxes.

Right now, she’s thriving! With the addition of a second litter box and a prescription diet that includes extra fiber mixed into her wet food, she's doing amazing. You can follow along with her foster success on her foster mom's instagram @soosancatfoster.
