My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Baleen is a deeply sensitive, cautious cat who prefers calm environments and safe hiding spaces. While reserved at first, she reliably comes out for meals and seeks affection when she feels secure—especially when her person is lying down. When she’s ready, Baleen offers intense headbutts and close snuggles, pressing herself lovingly against her person’s side. She remains watchful during affection and does best with slow, head-only petting to avoid overstimulation. Baleen thrives on predictability and routine. She would be happiest with a patient adopter who respects her boundaries and allows trust to grow at her pace.

To meet Baleen, visit the Best Friends Pet Adoption Center at 1845 Pontius Avenue, Los Angeles, CA 90025. We're open daily from 11:00 am to 7:00 pm. You can also email us at adoptla@bestfriends.org. Please remember, pets cannot be held or reserved. Come by and see if Baleen is the perfect match for you!
