Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bodhi – Your Future Best Friend
Bodhi is a 5-year-old, 75lb German Shepherd with a heart as big as his paws. Born on March 9, 2020, he’s in that perfect sweet spot of life—mature, well-trained, and ready to be someone’s loyal companion.
Bodhi is the total package: calm, balanced, and incredibly dog-savvy. He joins pack walks several times a week and is a beloved role model among his canine peers. He gets along beautifully with all dogs and is a huge asset to his pack walker thanks to his calm, respectful energy.
This boy has had extensive training since puppyhood. He’s housebroken, crate trained, e-collar trained, loose-leash trained, has solid recall, and knows the "place" command. His temperament is thoughtful and grounded—active and engaged, but never hyper or over-the-top.
True to his shepherd nature, Bodhi is deeply loyal and tuned in to his people. He thrives in a calm, structured environment and would love a home where he has space to roam, roll in the grass, and maybe even splash in some water (he loves water—trips to the ocean are pure magic for him).
Due to his sensitivity to chaotic energy, Bodhi would do best in a home without young children. He’s great with respectful older kids (10+), and his current family is looking to rehome him only because they are expecting a baby and want to make the best decision for everyone.
If you’re looking for a loyal companion with excellent manners, a gentle soul, and a heart full of love—Bodhi might just be your perfect match.

More about this rescue
We are a group of volunteers and rescuers combining our skills to help fosters get a dog out of the shelter! The dogs in our program have begun house, crate, and leash training. Our fosters follow a handful of house rules. The transition to a new home is easiest for your dog when these structures are carried over for some time and privileges are gradually introduced. This helps minimize anxiety and behavioral issues.
