Hi there, I’m Maximus — but you can call me Max! My story started in a grocery store parking lot, where I was wandering alone, hoping someone kind might notice me. Turns out, I had already passed through the shelter system once, and I ended up on something called the euthanasia list. That’s when BAMM Rescue stepped in and gave me the second chance I didn’t know I needed.
Since then, I’ve been busy getting healthy — I just finished all three of my heartworm treatments and I’m feeling stronger every day. Now all I need is a forever family to call my own.
I’m a big-hearted guy who loves being near my people. I’m not shy about asking for pets or attention — you’ll always know when I want some love! I’ve got a lot of personality and even more affection to give. Whether it’s a walk around the block, sniffing around the yard, or just being part of whatever you’re doing, I’m happy as long as I’m with you.
I’m crate trained, housebroken, and pretty chill overall. I get along great with other dogs and I’ve been gentle around kids. Cats, though? Not really my thing, so I’d do best in a home without them.
Some of my favorite things in life? Treats (seriously, they’re the highlight of my day!), soft beds, cozy blankets, and soaking up the sunshine. I’m also a great car buddy — I load up easily and ride like a pro.
