My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hello to KYA (aka Kya the Papaya)!! This fun and friendly German Shepherd mix is a Cali girl at heart. Her favorite place to be is at the beach running through the waves or at the park playing ball. And, she makes an awesome hiking buddy. While she is fun and outgoing outside of the house, in the house she is calm and polite and loves cuddles and will calmly watch a movie with you. Kya is a happy girl with a profound appetite for life that will awe anyone. She absolutely loves to do tricks and will do anything you ask of her with gusto! This is why she has become a volunteer favorite. She adores puppies and gets along with most dogs, but can be selective about her doggie friends. If you are the outdoor type who likes to have fun with their dog, then Kya is your girl. To inquire about Kya, please fill out our Dog Adoption Application at: https://www.tailsofmana.org/adoption-form.

More about this rescue

We are a small organization made up of volunteers with the passion we all share. Heather has been involved with rescue, training, and adoption for close to twenty years. She is highly skilled and very passionate. Mike covers back end business stuff. He has adopted two dogs via Heather. One of then is from Iran and the other is from Mexico. Both dogs have medical needs and are just amazing considering their histories. Bruce is involved with orphanages in the Ukraine and through the orphanages there came lost dogs in need. Tails of Mana has placed several of these amazing dogs. Sarah works with orphanages and dog rescue in Mexico. Sarah's relationships and here constant travel are a huge part of our Tails Of Mana cross border relationship.
