Cobain is a domestic shorthair that was brought into our care in June 2025. A loving neighbor brought Cobain in after his original owners packed up and left him behind. Cobain is a very shy boy and can be skittish when approached, however he is not aggressive towards people or other cats. Once he is comfortable, he blossoms into a gentle-playful, affectionate, and active fella. He is a quiet guy who would do best in a calm environment. He likes to hide in a safe space until he gets used to his new surroundings. Perhaps you can win him over with his favorite treats, Temptations!
To view other cats or kittens available for adoption at Valley Animal Center, please visit https://valleyanimal.org/cats/. You may also find Valley Animal Center’s adoption application there. Once you submit an adoption application, a cat care associate will review it and follow up with you as soon as possible.
His adoption fee is donation based (choose the price) and includes spay/neuter, up to date on vaccines, de-worm, flea treatment, and microchip ID. If you choose to adopt me, please ask an associate about joining Valley Animal Center’s Cat Club!
Thank mew!

More about this shelter
Valley Animal Center houses thousands of dogs and cats annually until they are placed in loving homes. Majority of our shelter animals are rescued from local animal control agencies who have no more space for their animals. Even animals who have been abused, mistreated, abandoned, and injured are cared for and nurtured until a loving home is ready to adopt them.
We are easily accessible to the residents of the entire six-county region it serves. Even individuals from out of the area and out of state have come to Valley Animal Center to adopt animals from us and utilize our clinic services.
Our mission is to unite dogs and cat with loving people but it does not simply end at the adoption process. With our low-cost clinic, a membership-based dog park, and humane education resources found on our website, we want to ensure our community has easy access to resources that will help them along in their pet ownership journey.
