Duchess is a gentle, sweet-natured girl with a soft heart and a quiet charm that blooms once she feels safe and loved. Rescued from a difficult past, she's still a bit shy at first -- but once she warms up, she’s deeply affectionate and eager to be near her people. Duchess is crate trained, fully potty trained, and does well with other dogs. She’s comfortable around respectful kids over 10 and would make a wonderful companion for a calm, loving family. While she's not quite sure what to make of toys just yet, she’s beginning to explore her playful side and would thrive in a home where she can continue to gain confidence at her own pace. A fenced yard or regular walks would help her settle in, but once bonded, Duchess will be your shadow. With her soulful eyes and gentle spirit, it’s easy to imagine Duchess becoming a loyal human's best friend -- and a beloved member of the family.

Duchess was rescued from a life of breeding litter after litter. She has put "mom life" behind her and is ready to be a spoiled princess.

Duchess is a female ShihTzu who was was born approximately 6-12-21 and weighs 13 lbs, but appears much more petite; she's just solid. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. She also had a dental procedure to polish up her teeth. Adoption fee is $600 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
