This charming little Shih Tzu is far more sweetheart than his name would suggest! At a petite 9.5 pounds, Oscar has spent his life as a breeder but is now ready to swap his past for a future filled with love, cozy laps, and gentle adventures. He gets along well with other dogs, though he can sometimes put on a bit of a tough-guy act -- don’t be fooled, though; he’s a big softie at heart and backs down quickly when he realizes there’s nothing to fuss about. True to his breeder days, Oscar used to be quite the ladies’ man, but now that he’s neutered, he’s far more interested in cuddles than romance. He absolutely loves to be picked up, held, and fussed over, soaking up all the affection he’s missed out on for so long. Oscar hasn’t met any cats yet, but his gentle demeanor suggests he’d adapt with proper introductions. This little guy is looking for a patient, loving family who will let him blossom into the devoted companion he’s always wanted to be -- someone who will scoop him into their arms and show him just how sweet life can be outside a kennel. If you’re searching for a tiny friend with a big heart and an adorable dash of sass, Oscar is ready to be your new shadow and cuddle buddy!

Oscar is a male ShihTzu who was was born approximately 6-11-19 and weighs 9 lbs. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed, tested heartworm negative and started on heartworm prevention. He also had a dental procedure to polish up his teeth. Adoption fee is $500 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care.
