Dogs- I prefer to be the only dog. I love my humans!
Cats - I tend to chase cats, so I would need to be in a home without any.
Kids - I have been around small kids and done well, but I would do best with older kids.
Energy Level: Medium to low. I love walks with my foster mom and I also love when it's time to eat. I get excited for both! Most of the time, though, I like relaxing, taking naps or snuggling with humans.
Before FAR/My History: I was found as a pregnant stray when I came into Furever After. I had my puppies in the rescue and they all found their furever homes. I've been waiting for 4 1/2 years to find mine and I just know it's out there!
Training Status/Commands I know: sit, stay, shake, down and high-five.
Things that makes me happy: cuddles with humans, walks, food of any kind and sunbathing. I'm an expert at finding any spot of sun and soaking up all the warmth.
Things that make humans happy: how loyal and affectionate I am, how quick I am to respond and listen and my sweet and sassy personality that can charm anyone.
Ideal Family/Home: I would love a family that could give me lots of love and affection and is willing to meet my needs. I really am the goodest girl and if you give me a chance I can show you!

Our adoption process starts with the potential adopter filling out an adoption application. In the application, you can specify a particular dog in which you are interested, or let us know what type of pet in which you are looking, so we can find the perfect animal to fit your family and your needs. Once the application is received, a board member will review the application, and make contact with the potential adopter within 48 hours. This initial contact may include further questions/more information, or may include scheduling a meet and greet for you to meet the animal in which you are interested! Once the application is approved or the meet and greet goes well, then the adoption can be finalized. To finalize the adoption, an adoption agreement must be completed, the adoption fee paid (we accept cash, paypal, or credit/debit card), and then the potential adopter can take their new family member home with them or schedule pick up of their furry family member! The adoption fee varies based on the dog or puppy you are interested in. Some of the adoption fees have been listed on the individual dog's description but if you do not see one then please reach out and we would be happy to talk to you about it! Furever After Rescue, a 501(c)(3) organization, is a no-kill, foster-based rescue devoted to finding homes for animals needing a loving home. Most of our animals come from local, high-kill shelters with some occasionally coming from bad situations and owner surrender. Our animals are immediately placed in foster homes where they learn love and are taught how to live in a home environment. All of our animals are up-to-date on their age-appropriate vetting needs and are tested for personality traits as best as possible. We have many wonderful pets looking for forever homes!
