Meet Bandit – Our 3-Legged Wonder!
🐾 Age: ~3.5 years | Special Feature: Missing a leg, not an ounce of energy
Don’t let the three legs fool you—Bandit doesn’t! This guy is full of bounce, zoom, and zest for life. At about 3.5 years old, Bandit is our tripod superstar who keeps up (and often outruns) the four-legged crowd with ease. He’s active, playful, and always ready for adventure.
Bandit is also a total sweetheart—but like any true bandit, he’s got a mischievous streak. He’s still learning his manners and could use a patient, consistent human to guide him through the do’s and don’ts of polite society. Think of it as polishing a rough gem—underneath the chaos is a heart of gold.
One thing Bandit really doesn’t love? Being left alone. Whether it’s being confined or just solo time, it’s not his jam. He’s happiest when he’s with his person—whether that means hanging at home together or tagging along on errands and road trips. If you're someone who's home a lot or lives a life that includes your dog in your daily routine, Bandit might just be your perfect co-pilot.
Bandit’s looking for someone who can keep up with his energy, help him grow into his best self, and love him for the unstoppable spirit he already is.
Ready to ride with this three-legged outlaw? Come meet Bandit—he might just steal your heart.

Our Mission: The Pensacola Humane Society is committed to improving the lives of companion animals in our community through advocacy, adoption, education and sanctuary.
The Pensacola Humane Society is an organization comprised of passionate advocates that love animals as much as they love us: unconditionally. We are a unique mix of dreamers, idealists, and optimists grounded in reality and fueled by an overwhelming commitment to the wellbeing and care of all animals within our community. We are known both within our community and nationally as an exemplar animal agency. We are the Pensacola Humane Society, changing our community four paws at a time. Make sure to check out our video spots below!
History
From a tiny shelter with one employee, the Pensacola Humane Society has grown into a thriving and dedicated group of volunteers, community advocates and professional staff.
Incorporated in 1943, the organization originally rounded up strays and investigated animal cruelty cases. Over the decades the shelter moved from an old wooden building to a small masonry structure to its current location, and along the way added educational programs, popular fundraisers and, in 1985, became a no-kill facility, where dogs and cats are provided food, shelter, medical care and love until they find their forever homes.
In the forefront of spay and neuter education, the Pensacola Humane Society has led the way over seven decades in the belief that animals are sentient beings who experience pain and suffering, and that it is our responsibility to attend to their needs and to treat them with dignity and respect. Join the Pensacola Humane Society as it endeavors over the next decade to make Pensacola a no-kill community, where there are homes enough for every animal and no need to euthanize healthy animals.
