Rhett was part of a hoarding situation. His lucky day came on June 14 when a kind soul took him from that terrible situation and brought him to PAWS. He was a pitiful site - his fur caked with feces and dirt, fleas all over him, toe nails so long he could barely walk, and so hungry. But, despite all of that, he found a way to be such a happy boy and seemed to know his life had just gotten better. He has been neutered, microchipped, and is up to date on his Parvo/Distemper and Rabies shot. He did test positive for Heartworms so we have begun the treatment and will be sure that is completed. This special, kind hearted boy deserves to know the love of a family of his own and I just know the right one is out there waiting for him. If interested in adopting him, please go to pawspaws.org to complete the PAWS application. You will need to leave the Petfinder site and go to your Google search engine and type in pawspaws.org. Meet and greets will be arranged after we have an approved application. He is a treasure will make your life complete! His adoption fee is $300.

Once we receive the application, we will process it and call you if approved to set up a meet and greet.

Meet the Pet
If we feel you are a good match, we will complete the Adoption Contract,review with you, and collect the adoption fee.

Take the Pet Home
Then we will send you and your new family member home!

Dogs: The adoption fees for PAWS puppies and dogs start at $200. Occasionally, the adoption fee will be higher and, if that is the case, it will be noted on the animal's profile. When you adopt your new dog or puppy, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine shots. If it is six months or older, it will have been tested for heartworms and placed on a heartworm preventative.
Cats: The adoption fee for most PAWS kittens and cats is $75. When you adopt your new cat or kitten, it will be spayed or neutered, wormed, micro-chipped, and up to date on its shots, with the exception of its rabies shot, which must be given by a vet. IF YOU ARE PLANNING TO ADOPT A CAT OR KITTEN, BE SURE TO BRING A CARRIER OR PET TAXI WITH YOU. WE CANNOT SEND A CAT/KITTEN HOME UNLESS IT IS IN A CARRIER/PET TAXI.
We certainly recommend that you continue your pet's routine vaccination regimen with your veterinarian.
SAME DAY ADOPTIONS ARE NOT ALWAYS POSSIBLE, SO IF YOU ARE DRIVING FROM A DISTANCE, PLEASE MAKE ADVANCE ARRANGEMENTS.
IF YOU RENT, YOU MUST BRING A SIGNED RENTAL AGREEMENT FROM YOUR LANDLORD STATING THAT IT IS OKAY FOR YOU TO HAVE AN ANIMAL IN THE HOUSE. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A RENTAL AGREEMENT, YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TAKE THE COMPANION ANIMAL OF YOUR CHOICE HOME WITH YOU.
OUT OF STATE ADOPTERS ARE ASKED TO PAY THE ADOPTION FEE IN CASH.
