My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Aramis and I’m looking for my forever home! I’m still a puppy – I’ll be a year old in September and I weigh 26 lbs. I came to my foster home here in Smithville, MO, from the commercial breeding facility where I was born. At first, I was so scared! I’m still shy and skittish at first, but once I relax and feel safe, I’m full of love and affection – and puppy energy! I love to play and jump off the deck and go running in the fenced yard here in my foster home. I get along well with the other dogs here. I’m a smart boy! Even though I was nervous at first, I picked up on the routine here in my foster home really fast. I’m still learning about walking on a leash though. We’ve been practicing in the yard and foster mom says I’ve sure got the “Shiba Nope” part down (where I refuse to move if I don’t want to). I haven’t met any cats or small pets here, but I haven’t shown any signs of having a prey drive, so I might be okay with them. There are two little human boys here and I am very curious about them, but keep my distance if they get too rambunctious for me. I’m a good boy inside too. I’m potty trained and stay in my kennel when my foster family has to go out. And I’m healthy too! I’m neutered and vaccinated. My perfect forever home would have another friendly dog for me to play with and let out some of that puppy energy. I’d also love to have a fenced yard to run and play in – and a patient forever family who can continue to teach me how to walk on a leash. If you live in the Midwest and would like a fun, playful, affectionate boy like me to make your home complete, visit www.savingshibas.com/adopt to apply to become an approved SIRA adopter. The application process helps SIRA learn more about you to make sure we’ll be a good match. Once approved, they’ll introduce you to my foster mom so we can meet! I can’t wait!
