TO ADOPT AN ANIMAL

You must:

Be at least 18 years of age

Have valid identification with your current address

Be able to verify that you can have a pet where you live.

Show that you are able to provide what we consider a safe, loving home for the animal

Show that you are able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide training, medical treatment and proper care for your pet

Agree to pre-screening and adoption follow up.

Understand that the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven Society Inc. reserves the right to deny any adoption for ANY reason.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Find a pet you like? Simply fill out our online application form and we will contact you to set up an appointment.
  2. Approve Application
    1. Our staff review every application and work to match you with the best possible cat. You will receive an email to schedule an appointment.
  3. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. Check your email for an invitation to visit all the cats and kittens.
  4. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. And away you go with your new friend! Make sure you bring a carrier to safely transport them home.

Our facility is not open to the public, an appointment is required.

We have adoptable cats at PetSmart Chilliwack and Cheam View Veterinary clinic.

We always have hundreds of adoptable cats onsite at the Safe Haven, more than are listed online! Fill out an application and come visit all the wonderful cats. You are under no obligation to adopt at the time of your appointment.

Monday-Friday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm

Saturday: 10:00 am - 2:00 pm

Sunday: 9:00 am - 12:00 pm
