Hello! My name is Cocoa, I also go as Cocoa Bean, and I am a playful and energetic kitten! I am a rescued kitten, and I have a brother named Honey. We love to play around with sound-making toys and with each other. I like being around humans, but I am not much of a cuddler. I cuddle when I am in the mood with either my humans or my brother. Sometimes I just like being next to my humas while they do their thing. I typically like eating food with tuna. I am an indoor cat but like to observe the outside. I love taking naps with my brother or my humans.

We are foster home based. View our pets on AdoptaPet.com or at our adoption events Saturdays and Sundays 12-3pm at PetSmart in Prosper.

Submit Application

Complete our application at texascares.org/adopt

Approve Application

Once your application is approved, we ask you to sign the adoption agreement and pay a nominal fee.

Texas CARES' cats and kittens ARE NOT FOR SALE.
Cats and kittens are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by the Texas CARES volunteer staff. Potential adopter(s) will be notified of the status of their application. This process can take 48-72 hours. Applications for adoption can be obtained from a Texas CARES volunteer or found on our website: http://www.texascares.org/adopt Adoption fees may be tax deductible donations.

More about this rescue

Texas CARES is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. Our all-volunteer group provides shelter and veterinary care for homeless and unwanted cats and kittens in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth and surrounding areas.

Our cats and kittens are rescued from local "kill" shelters and desperate public situations. All are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted.

Texas CARES was established in 1992 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. All of Texas CARES' funding comes from donations and fundraising events.
