Rosie was adopted from Midwest BREW as a puppy; 7 ½ years later, she’s back with us and looking for a loving new home due to her owner’s health issues.
In addition to being a super-sweet, laid-back girl, Rosie is also very well-trained with impeccable manners. She walks very nicely on a leash, doesn’t jump up on people, and she has a very calm demeanor. She would do best in a quiet home either as an only dog or with another calm dog. We’re not sure how Rosie would do with cats. Because she’s generally quiet and only barks occasionally, she would do well in an apartment or condo as long as she’s walked several times a day.
Rosie has a seizure disorder that is well-controlled – she hasn’t had any episodes for over a year. To keep her seizures under control, she’ll need to be on medication for the rest of her life and will need to have bloodwork done every 6 - 12 months.
Snuggling on the couch with her people is one of Rosie’s favorite things to do. While she’s not one to play, she does enjoy going for walks and will potty on a leash. Rosie does well in the car and loves going for rides, even if it’s just to run some errands. When it’s time to turn in for the night, she sleeps contentedly in her dog bed in her foster parents’ bedroom.
