Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Trapped with a piece of cheese as bait, sweet, shy Velveeta, was surrendered with her 5 kittens. The kind couple that found the little family asked if we could assess the mama cat for friendliness. She was cautious at first, but when she realized that she was safe, she started allowing pets and soon was leaning in and purring.
She gets along with most cats and kittens, and would love to be adopted with one of her biological or adopted kittens.
She would do best with patient adopters that understand that the acclimation process takes time and will let her adjust at her own pace.
She enjoys a laid back, quiet lifestyle where she can lounge in a sunny spot, or snuggle up on the couch.
Velveeta is spayed, FIV/FeLV negative, microchipped, vaccinated, flea treated and dewormed.

More about this rescue
Conquer the Colony is a 501c3 non-profit cat rescue. We are an in-home fostering rescue - meaning we foster from our own homes and do not have a central shelter space. Our main focus and mission is TNR - the trap, neuter, and return of feral cats. We are a small rescue that relies solely on donations and volunteer time. We work tirelessly to improve the lives of all cats, both feral and friendly.
