Liberty is a sweet shepherd mix ready for her forever home. She is mom to Banner, Justice, Glory and Star, also up-for-adoption through SPR. Liberty may take a few days to warm up but after she feels comfortable, she will show her mellow personality. Just like every caretaker, she will come check on you and will give you a lick to say thanks after a treat. Her loyal and gentle demeanor will melt your heart. Rescue story: Liberty and her newborns were living in a car shop. They were rescued after several days of rain since the puppies were at risk of drowning. Fortunately, mom and puppies were taken to a warm and loving foster home.
This dog is up to date on vaccinations and is spayed. (Please note: Puppies under 3 months old may not be sterilized prior to adoption. If this is the case, your adoption coordinator will provide guidance on the process.)

Sandy Paws Rescue does not have a public shelter in Massachusetts. Our dogs reside in private foster homes or boarding kennels in the South until adopted. Many dogs are spoken for prior to transport or release from state-mandated isolation.

Interview
If we feel you’re a good fit, we’ll schedule a phone call. Timing varies—could be 3 days or 3+ weeks. A call doesn’t guarantee approval.
Home Check
A home tour video is required—show common areas, yard, and where the dog will sleep. Full details are on our FAQ page.
