My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Met Tank! This sweet soul came to us after his original owner could no longer hold onto him. Since he's been here, Tank has come into his own as an outgoing and fun-loving pup. He's a true family man, and previously lived with young children, which he LOVED! Tank was also potty and crate trained in his previous home, so he already knows house manners. He has had positive interactions with other dogs while off leash but does display on leash reactivity. Our behavior department is actively working on this reactivity and would be happy to talk through everything. He also has some minor medial needs that staff would also be happy to go over with you! Overall, he is a strong, excitable dog and often loses sight of his own size, so he's looking for a forever family who can match his strength and enthusiasm. Just look at his face. Don't you want that in your bed every night? Come down and meet Tank today!

We invite you to visit the shelter locations and meet the animals and the adoption team!

Our adoption process is aimed at matching you, your family and your current pets with our animals for adoption. An adoption counselor will introduce you to our animals in a private meeting room. We will share information about the animal's medical and behavioral needs as well as their history.

When you find the right pet for you and your family, the adoption counselor will assist you in completing the proper paperwork. This process includes signing an adoption contract, reviewing medical history and providing proper pet care information.

What you will need in order to adopt:

A valid photo ID with your current address.

We recommend all members of the household meeting the animal before adopting.

If you are interested in adopting a dog and have other dog(s) living in your household, it is recommended that all dogs meet each other at the shelter.

Certain animals require additional steps or requirements.

Adoption fee is accepted in cash or credit/debit card. Checks, American Express, Discover, Care Credit are not accepted as payment.
