Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Aldora! We usually just call her Dora.
Born February 2025
I was rescued with my siblings by Valley Dogs Rescue. Now I’m enjoying life in my foster home—learning, playing, and soaking up all the love!
I’m about 45 pounds right now and expected to be a medium-sized dog when fully grown. I’m a smart and curious girl who’s already learning “sit” and “stay,” and I’ve figured out how to use the doggie door. I love to play, explore, and cuddle with my people.
This sweet and spunky Lab/Staffie mix lives up to her name—full of personality, potential, and puppy joy! (75% lab, 25% Staffie) (Dad-100% lab, Mom 50% Lab, 50% Staffie)
Aldora LOVES playing with our 7 year old daughter, 18 year old special needs son and a 80 pound German Shepherd and 50 pound Chow. She is a super duper social dog so we are confident she will be fine being the only dog in a home or a younger sibling. Preferably younger sibling so she can play. She would do well with any type of dog in my opinion since she is so young, submissive to the older dogs in the house. Every dog we introduce her to at Petsmart, parks, etc big or small she does great.
Dora is a quick learner who already knows how to sit and use the doggy door. She is super food motivated and that really helped her learn how to use the doggie door and how to crate up when her foster mom leaves the house. She is 100% potty trained and is getting better about knowing the difference between a Barbie and a dog toy. She loves chew toys and balls and playing fetch.
Her days are a fun mix of backyard and house zoomies, playful wrestling with her doggy foster siblings, and curling up for cuddle time with her humans. She sleeps in the crate and can sleep in the bed, but we prefer the crate since we sleep better without a dog in the bed. She would be a great co-sleeper for someone ok with that.
Dora is super duper cuddly! She is trained at our house not to go on the couches, but we let her in bed to snuggle since she gives the best cuddles and has short hair. Dora has already come really far as a puppy and has great manners considering her age. She cuddles by daughter in her bed or on the floor all the time and really gravitates towards children of all ages. Very patient, so if you are worried about little ones pulling ears etc, supervision is very important of course always, but she is very trustworthy and gentle.
She has been with cats for a short time and is very friendly and lets them warm up on their terms. She isn't a chaser.
