My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

When I adopted Lucy, I let the owner know it was important that she could get along with cats. Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case; Lucy is not a fan of cats but she gets along well with other dogs. I’m trying now to find her a home where she can be happier and not have to spend excess time in a crate.

Lucy is sweet and really smart. She knows basic commands and can learn more. She wants to please and learns quickly. When left alone, Lucy will bark for about 5 minutes but then settles down. She is not destructive or aggressive. She is a good watch dog with barks to alert you. Lucy is on the small side for a German Shepherd, weighing in at just 40 pounds.

Lucy would thrive with someone who has time to spend with her and doesn’t have cats!
