Hi – I’m Wendell, a sweet orange tabby kitten born on April 26th and surrendered to a shelter a few days later along with my siblings Oliver, Kimchi and Holmes. Being newborns in a crowded shelter put us all at risk and on the urgent list so we are very grateful that our dedicated foster mom opened her heart and provided the round-the-clock care that we tiny bottle babies required. Now we are all weaned and learning how to be cats while our individual purrsonalities blossom. I am a very confident little dude who loves to run and play with all kinds of toys. I like to sit in high places, like my foster’s shoulder. I also love attention from people, and come running to be picked up. You cannot pet me too much :) I have boundless energy, so I would do best in a home with another kitten or young cat to play with.
The cat adoption fee is $110 (or $175 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Petco (2410 Bay Area Blvd, Houston 77058). If interested in one of our cats please feel free to complete an application, found on our website www.secondchancepets.org, and email it to us at pets2adopt@yahoo.com for pre-review.
