My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

He may look so serious, but don’t be fooled – Harper is a happy, fearless, and affectionate young fella who is always up for a chase, pounce, and bounce. He can make a toy out of just about anything, and his favorite is whatever he is playing with right now. His little meows sound more like a cough, which is pretty funny at mealtimes. He has perfected the art of the standing pounce, up on his back legs and arms flung wide! Harper gets on well with other cats and kittens, and loves his foster humans. He`s a total love bug and he’ll purr if you as much as look at him and come running to greet you! He has an endearing “I’m up for anything so long as it is with you” vibe and will seek out a snuggle and fall asleep contentedly in your lap. Fate made him besties with Tarragon (58495427), and Harper would love to be adopted together with him or into a home with another kitten or cat to play with and keep him company. His foster mom would love to answer any questions you have about Harper – the shelter staff can put you in touch. Are you ready for a lifetime of love and fun? Come and meet Harper – he’s tons of fun – and adopt him today!

Additional adoption info

We encourage everyone interested in adopting a new pet to come visit the San Marcos Regional Animal Shelter to view the wonderful selection of cats, dogs and small animals we have available for adoption. When you see an animal you are interested in, come in as soon as possible as we are first come, first serve and are unable to place HOLDS on pets over the phone.

Speak to an Adoption Counselor at our Adoption Center regarding your interest to adopt and they will advise you of the Hold and Adoption process. All pets adopted from our facility are microchipped, spayed or neutered and vaccinated for Rabies prior to being released to the adopter. This is required by Texas State Law for any animal adopted from an animal shelter or rescue group. We do allow out of area adoptions as long as the selected pet is old enough to receive these services prior to being released to the adopter.
