Meet Mendell — Sensitive Soul, Professional Snuggler-in-Training
Looking for a cat who will worship you… But also appreciate a good back scratcher? Mendell may be the guy for you!
Mendell is a scared boy, learning to be confident and trust humans. He’s a sensitive boy who startles easily, but every day he gets braver—and every day he loves humans a little more. He’s cautious with his hands and likely to swat, but he doesn’t do it to be rude. We don’t know his past and what he’s been through. We do know he’s eager for human and kitty love - he just needs space and time.
His favorite hobby? Getting pets and attention… but with a twist. He prefers brushes and back scratchers touching him rather than a human hand. He enjoys gentle hand pets on his head and cheeks but only after he feels comfortable - it can take some time!
This special guy deserves the most special home, so we’re offering a foster-to-adopt arrangement and will connect you with a behaviorist to help Mendell keep growing into his happiest, most confident boy he can be.
If you love the quirky, the gentle-hearted, and the “underdogs,” Mendell is ready to be your new favorite cat.
Mendell is neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and FIV positive. , FIV isn’t a big deal—these cats live totally normal, happy lives. They just need quick check-ins if they’re feeling off due to their compromised immune system - something we recommend with all our cats.
