My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Sybill, a Royal (ball) python with a gentle and engaging personality!

Royal pythons, commonly known as ball pythons, are named for their tendency to curl into a ball when they feel unsure. Sybill, however, is anything but withdrawn, she is calm, curious and very comfortable with people. In fact, Sybill is extremely easy to handle and genuinely seems to enjoy human interaction! She has been gentle and relaxed during handling in her foster home and has done wonderfully with young children, including her foster’s nieces. Her laid-back temperament makes her a pleasure to spend time with.

Sybill is a Spider morph, and adopters are encouraged to research this condition prior to adoption. A good understanding of her genetics and care needs will help ensure she continues to thrive in her new home!

Sybill’s adoption does not include an enclosure. Adopters must be prepared to show proof of a proper setup prior to adoption. Her enclosure should measure at least 48” L x 24” W x 24” H, allowing her enough space to stretch out and move comfortably.

***NOTE*** Please remember that animals are coming back from foster care to the centres for their meet and greets. They will be experiencing a new environment and meeting new people, which means they may not exhibit the same behaviours they did in their foster videos or while in foster care.

If you are viewing this animal through 24Petconnect by PetPlace or Adopt-a-pet, please visit our website https://kwsphumane.ca/adopt/process to submit an application. Any applications submitted outside of www.kwsphumane.ca may not be received.

Additional adoption info

Come into the Centre and if you see a pet you like, you are able to do a "Meet and Greet" with that pet. Spend some time in alone with the pet or take a dog out for a short walk. If you are still interested in adopting the pet you can meet with one of our Adoption Counsellors who will have you fill out and application and will ask you some questions about the environment in which you live. If you seem like a wonderful match and your envirnoment meets the needs of the pet then your application should be approved!
