Here's what the humans have to say about me:
*Woof* Meet me at 71 Oglethorpe St NW between 12pm-7pm daily!
Washington Commanders’ Defensive End Jake Martin is helping out the big dogs this month with his 55 Rescue Drive! Jake is reducing my adoption fee to only $55!
My name Giovanni mirrors my personality. It starts with a somewhat long and slow `Gio` and then transitions into a fun and quick `vanni`. Similarly, I may need a little bit of time to warm up to you (go slow) but then we are off to a fun life together, where joy and happiness abound. I am famous for how very sweet I am and the only thing I want to accomplish is become your best friend. My friends here admire my big smile and how I just brighten up when they come to visit me and take me for a walk. Sometimes I am still a bit nervous, but being with my friends is always my favorite thing to do. Most days I love a good walk, but some days when I get a bit nervous, I may need a bit of patience and keep my walks shorter and instead we can hang out. I am an expert lover of toys and can entertain myself with them very well!
A volunteer who recently spent time with me had this to share: Giovanni was wonderful on our field trip, super sweet and very charming! He paid no attention to other dogs or humans on the trail, unless humans wanted to give him pets. Even then he greeted them gently. He was great at my apartment. Elevator and usual apartment noise didn’t seem to bother him. We had the best couch cuddles. Discovered he likes apples:) He is also a champ in the car; goes in and out easily and does not get car sick.
The overall summary here is that I am going to be an expert cuddlebug, so get ready for some cozy evenings with me on the couch. Who`s in for that?
