My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ashely is a cat with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. She truly enjoys meeting new faces and is often the first to greet visitors, happily welcoming strangers with curiosity and charm. If you’re looking for a cat who won’t hide when guests come over, Ashely will be right there, soaking up the attention. Confident and affectionate, Ashely loves being part of the action and thrives on human connection. She enjoys spending time with her people—hanging out nearby or checking out whatever’s going on around her. Her friendly nature makes her a wonderful companion for a social household. Ashely would do beautifully in a home where she can continue to share her warm, outgoing personality and be treated like the beloved family member she is. She’s ready to bring joy, companionship, and plenty of friendly greetings to her forever home. Ashley’s foster reports that Ashely is independent and playful. She enjoys chasing toys and wants to interact with her people through play. She is also food motivated and is always down for a snack. Ashley’s foster has two other cats, with whom Ashley gets along well. If you want a cat who makes everyone feel welcome, Ashely is waiting to meet you!”Our pets are "New Home Ready", meaning adopted animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated including rabies and have a microchip. These services are all included in our adoption fee.

NFASI is open Monday through Saturday 10am-5pm and hold adoption events periodically around the Pahrump area. Please call to confirm the pet you are interested in is still available (775) 537-8674 and onsite (or we can make arrangements for their Foster Parent to bring them in).

Foster homes & volunteers are always needed please contact us regarding how you can foster or volunteer for our organization.

Go meet their pets

If you are interested in a specific pet, please CALL the shelter (775-537-8674) to verify availability and make sure the pet is on site - many of our pets are in foster homes so they can receive individual care, attention and regular exercise not afforded by keeping kept in a shelter.

We are located at 3091 N. David St. just north of Bell Vista between Leslie & Blagg Rd. in Pahrump, NV.

We often have adoption events at the office location or offsite - Like us on Facebook or watch our website for more details!

Thank you!

More about this rescue

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable organization formed to rescue animals in need and to provide low cost spay/neuter clinics in the town of Pahrump and the Nye County areas of Nevada.

Our team of caring and experienced animal care specialists love reuniting companions with their owners or until we can find permanent loving forever homes for animals in need. We provide a safe and clean environment for lost, surrendered or abandoned animals until they can be reunited with their rightful owners or to find permanent homes for animals who cannot be reunited with their rightful owners. Our mission is to reduce euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals through Animal Rescue and Spay and Neuter Clinics in Pahrump.
